The main purpose of the working visit is to expand business on the African continent. At the highest level, the parties discussed opportunities, approaches and mechanisms of cooperation related to the supply of URALCHEM and Uralkali products to Sudan, tax benefits and relations between two countries.

Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo, Vice President – Lieutenant General:

“Sudan has large areas of land and is interested in developing agriculture and attracting foreign investors. URALCHEM can show by its example that our country is ready and open to long-term cooperation with Russia. And the new government will do everything possible for this”.

Dmitry Mazepin, Chairman of the Board of Directors of URALCHEM, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of Uralkali, member of the Bureau of the Board of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP):

“The Sudan has been in a difficult situation for the past ten years. Now the leadership of the country and the new government are focused on reviving the economy. We believe that Sudan can become the platform in the Eastern part of Africa where we can significantly increase our position as a fertilizer seller. URALCHEM and Uralkali, for their part, will do their best to promote mutually beneficial and friendly relations between Russia and Sudan. We plan to start supplying fertilizers to the country in 2021”.

For several years, companies have been the main partners of African countries, both in terms of technology exports and in terms of product exports. Uninterrupted supplies of products have been established to Zimbabwe, Zambia, Kenya, Angola and Mozambique, and educational projects are being developed in cooperation with African agronomic educational institutions.
