This year, the 6th edition of Agritech Expo Zambia had 7 international pavilions and large number of participants: approximately 20 000 growers and more than 220 local and international exhibitors. The event brought together professionals from different sectors of production chain: seeds, crop protection, fertilizer, machinery, precision agriculture, finance and more. Visitors could observe different plant trials demonstrating crop varieties effect of agricultural chemicals, fertilization practices, livestock, machinery and equipment demos.

UFCL also prepared the live crop trial for the exhibition. We aimed to demonstrate the effect of different types of fertilizers. The trial was organized into three separate plots. At the first plot we applied NPK 10-20-10 also known by Zambian growers as D-compound. At the second plot NPK 10-20-20 produced by Uralchem was broadcasted. Finally, the combination of Uralchem’s NPK 10-20-20 and Uralkali’s MOP was presented as an alternative treatment. The results can be observed in the picture below.
